The gift would fund games, activities, and snacks for the children as well as pizza and drinks for the volunteers.

Events for College Students

Sponsor a social event or workshop for our college students. $500 would support bringing in a speaker to present to our college students on the spectrum about topics such as online safety, getting a job, building relationships, etc. for the 30 students in our CASE program. The same gift could support the planning and offering of a unique social opportunity for the students such as an evening reservation of the rock climbing wall at the TTU gym, a night at Main Event, bowling for the students, etc.

$1,000

Community Training Workshop

Sponsor an evening community training workshop. $1000 would support center staff to offer a high-quality 2-3 hour training session for up to 100 people to selected community groups. Examples of past evening workshops include training for day-care providers about setting up positive environments, free parent training to set up home routines, etc., targeted ASD awareness training for community groups such as churches or Rotary Clubs, etc. The training is designed to expose attendees to best-practices and give them concrete ideas to take away and use. This gift would allow that training to be offered at no cost to the group and would cover all expenses and provided resource materials.
