REACH FOR THE MOON and SEE THE STARS!

November 13, 2019

The STARS campaign has now ended with almost 30% of the financial goal raised to provide funding to send 50 graduate students of Texas Tech University College of Education to the SERA conference in February 2020.

This was the first crowdfunding campaign of the College of Education and as such we learned a lot about how to perfect the process.  With almost $5000 raised, STARS was a success! The College of Education can now offer a full ride to 15 graduate students who want to attend SERA.

The added benefit of the STARS fundraiser is we made many new friends of the College of Education.  We heard from members of our alumnus and others in the community and received positive feedback.

We look forward to following up by broadcasting stories about SERA as well as other interesting programs with all our friends of the College of Education!

It is not too late if you would still like to donate to STARS.

You may do so by going to:

https://donate.give2tech.com//

Then go to, "Search for specific fund", then type in STARS and then select Student Travel for Academic Research Support (STARS) Fund.  Then enter the amount and other requested information.

Please feel free to contact the Office of Development in the College of Education and the Burkhart Center for Autism Education & Research for all your philanthropic endeavors.

So Close Yet So Far....

November 12, 2019

This is the final day....less than 20 hours away until the close of the STARS campaign.  We had a good response and are very grateful to all who have already donated.  We can send several of our College of Education graduate students to the SERA conference. But we feel so badly for those students who will NOT be able to attend because as of today we do NOT have enough funding for ALL fifty students!

Who will go  to the conference and who will not? Which grad student will be left behind?  It is difficult because all fifty College of Education graduate students are deserving of this great academic opportunity!!

If you have not already contributed to this campaign...please DONATE NOW and become one of our brightest STARS  to ensure all 50 students will have a chance to go to the conference!!

STARS SHINE BRIGHTLY

November 07, 2019

With just a few days left before the STARS campaign comes to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has donated and reached out to us. We've raised nearly $5,000!

It is exciting to see your support for the graduate students from the College of Education. We are nearing our goal of sending 50 students to the upcoming SERA academic conference – but WE STILL NEED your help!

Please donate today and share this campaign. We appreciate your support of the College of Education!

REACH FOR THE STARS

October 31, 2019

We are well on our way to reaching for the STARS. Our STARS fundraiser topped $2,500 this past week!

With your help, we are able to help send graduate students from the College of Education to academic conferences. Our goal is to help 50 students attend the Southwest Education Research Association Annual Conference from Feb. 12 through Feb. 14 in Arlington. The conference is an important event in the educational research community.

With the funds raised so far, we can pay the full cost of conference registration, meals and lodging for SEVEN students to attend.

That's is an amazing start, but we still need your help to hit our goal. Please donate today. And help spread the word by sharing this campaign on your social media pages!

Thank you for being a friend of the College of Education.

A Great Start for STARS!

October 24, 2019

We are so excited to see the STARS campaign off to a good start! It is our very first attempt to raise funds on an online crowdfunder platform.

We're raising funds to cover the costs to send Texas Tech University College of Education graduate students to academic conferences.

The students need your help! Become a supporter of STARS with a donation NOW. Every dollar counts. Our future educators can all become STARS with your charitable contribution to this crowdfunding campaign.

And don’t forget to share this story online with your friends and family. Spreading the word makes a huge difference.
