Since its creation in 2001, Red Raider Camp (RRC) provides new Red Raiders with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create long-lasting friendship and develop leadership skills while immersing themselves in the rich history and traditions of their new home, Texas Tech University.
RRC has proven time and time again to be an invaluable piece of the new student experience at Texas Tech. Students who attend Red Raider Camp are more prepared to succeed academically and socially at Texas Tech. Campers finish their first year with higher GPA’s than the first-year average. The information students receive at RRC and the connections they make with current and incoming students contribute to a great first-year experience as a Red Raider.
Hear from our 2019 RRC Campers about their experience:
“If I wasn't excited about Tech before, I definitely am now. The camp filled me with so much pride, passion, and excitement. My counselors were really awesome and made me feel welcomed into my new Raider family.”
“It instilled the pride of Texas Tech into me even further, and now I want to be there even more.”
“I really enjoyed the experience and am glad to have met new people and to have learned new traditions!”
However, not every student has the financial means to attend Red Raider Camp.
That’s why we need your help.
Each donation to the Red Raider CAMPaign will contribute to fee waivers that will be given to new students in financial need that would not be able to attend without your help.
Meeting our goal means that TEN new Red Raiders will be going to RRC for FREE!
With your donation, a new Red Raider will gain a sense of belonging and a foundation to help transition to Texas Tech University. Join us to instill the Red Raider spirit and traditions that make our university great.
Thank you for your generosity and WRECK ‘EM!
