We are glad to report that all of our students who were studying abroad have returned home. This was made possible in partnership with your generosity and that of more than 400 donors who quickly responded, and for that, the entire Texas Tech community is truly grateful.
While Texas Tech has taken significant steps to protect our campus community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to do even more to support our students on an individual level − especially those who are experiencing hardship. Students are currently facing unprecedented disruptions as they transition to completely online learning mid-semester. Though we have made the decision to continue to pay all students who are employed on campus, others have experienced job loss, shortened work schedules and find social events canceled.
Many have written and called asking how they can help students during this uncertain time. Thank you for showing how much you care for the Red Raider community.
If you would like to have another meaningful impact, please encourage your friends and family to also give a gift to the Red Raider Response Fund.
The generosity that you showed combined with the support of others will provide students with emergency financial assistance that is needed to overcome the barriers to academic success that Covid-19 is presenting.
Thank you again!
